In response to more young people choosing to travel by bus, Glasgow Citybus will be increasing its frequency on its service 15 bus route.<\/p>\n
The new Milngavie to Glasgow City Centre timetable, launching on Monday 06 February, will increase frequency from hourly to every 30 minutes Monday to Friday, and hourly on a Saturday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The route serves Milngavie, Baljaffray, Bearsden, Canniensburn Toll, Anniensland and includes Glasgow University, West of Scotland Science Park and Gartnavel Hospital.<\/p>\n The new bus times are expected to make it quick and easy to travel to and from the city for both commuters and the growing student market traveling to the number of colleges and universities across the city including Glasgow University\u2019s Bearsden and west end and campus.<\/p>\n Richy Graham, operations manager at Glasgow Citybus, said: \u201cWe are delighted to be offering more journeys on our increasingly popular service 15, Milngavie to Glasgow route.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>\u201cSince the launch of the Scottish Government\u2019s under 22 free bus travel scheme we are seeing a positive shift in the number of younger people choosing to jump on bus and are pleased to be able to react to this demand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe hope our new and improved timetable encourages more people to ditch the car and switch to bus and in turn help reduce congestion in our towns and city.\u201d<\/p>\n
